Materials

Recommended materials and print settings for reliable MechAMS parts.

  • PLA-CF: gears, clutches, frames. Target ±0.1 mm tolerances.
  • TPU 95A: flexible drive/contact parts such as drive gears, drive belts, and drive pads.
  • PETG (experimental): acceptable for non-precision covers or brackets.
  • Notes: verify fit on test jigs before full print; tune retraction and wipe to your slicer.

Optional hardware

Real bearings are a useful upgrade.

Printed bearings are the default. For the smoother hardware upgrade, use MR115ZZ / 5x11x4 mm, 37 total. Known-good source: bearings on Amazon.
