Refund Policy

MechAMS is a digital product sold by Sipers Mechatronics (eenmanszaak, Netherlands). Because MechAMS is delivered as digital files that can be copied indefinitely once downloaded, our refund policy is shaped by EU consumer law for digital content and by good-faith customer support for genuine technical issues. The full Terms & Conditions are available at /terms.

1. Right of withdrawal (EU)

Under Article 16(m) of EU Directive 2011/83/EU and Dutch consumer law, the standard 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to supply of digital content not on a tangible medium once performance has begun with your prior express consent and you have acknowledged that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal. At checkout, we explicitly request both: you agree to receive immediate access to the digital content and you acknowledge that the right of withdrawal expires once the download or access starts.

In plain language: once you click the download link or open the MechAMS G-code generator, you have started receiving the digital content and your right of withdrawal expires. Up until that point, you can request a full refund by emailing support@sipersmechatronics.com.

2. Refunds for technical issues

We want you to have a good experience with MechAMS. If you run into a real technical issue that prevents you from using the product as advertised — for example, files that fail to download, a corrupt 3MF archive, or the G-code generator being unavailable for an extended period — please email support@sipersmechatronics.com with a description of the issue and any relevant details (your purchase email, screenshots, error messages). We will aim to respond within 1–3 business days. Possible outcomes include resolving the issue, re-issuing access, or — at our discretion and where appropriate — issuing a refund.

We do not offer refunds for issues outside the scope of the product, such as: incompatibilities caused by user-side modifications, third-party slicer profiles, hardware faults unrelated to MechAMS, or dissatisfaction with print quality where the system is functioning as designed.

3. Refunds and license breach

Where access has been revoked because of a violation of the License (see Terms & Conditions section 4), no refund is owed. This includes redistribution, reverse engineering, account sharing, or attempts to circumvent technical protection measures.

4. Chargebacks

If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us first at support@sipersmechatronics.com before disputing the transaction with your bank or card issuer. Most issues can be resolved directly and faster that way. Filing a chargeback for a digital product you have already downloaded may result in permanent loss of access to MechAMS and to future purchases under the associated email address.

5. How to request a refund

Send an email to support@sipersmechatronics.com with the subject line "Refund request — [your purchase email]" and include:

  • The email address used at checkout.
  • The Stripe receipt or invoice number, if available.
  • A short description of why you are requesting a refund.

We aim to acknowledge refund requests within 1–3 business days. Approved refunds are returned via the original payment method through Stripe; processing time on the bank side typically takes 5–10 business days.

6. Statutory rights

Nothing in this policy excludes or limits any statutory consumer rights you may have under Dutch law, EU law, or applicable local law. Where a mandatory right cannot be excluded by contract, your statutory rights take precedence over any conflicting provision in this policy.
