Heads up, a major MechAMS update is landing end of August with new pricing and better support. You might want to hold off buying until then.

Getting Started

Assembly Guide

Use the first-build path before starting: choose the printer fit, print the test jig, and select one tolerance pack before the full build.

Build steps

  1. Confirm A1 or A1 mini fit, then print the test jig and choose one tolerance pack.
  2. Print the required parts using the selected release files. A1 mini builders also use the A1 Mini Top Bar.
  3. File the extruder shaft to fit the new gear mechanism.
  4. Relocate the filament sensor onto the mechanism.
  5. Assemble the toolhead mechanism and mount it to the printer.
  6. Assemble the filament slots and install them on the top bar.
  7. Update your slicer configuration with the custom G-code.
  8. Run the tests to ensure everything works correctly.
  9. Load your filament and start printing in multicolor.

Do not force a binding part. Recheck the selected tolerance and reprint the affected part before continuing.
